Sub: Abnormal Increase in Electricity Bills
Your Excellency,
My humble request to you is that I am Biren Ghosh, a permanent resident of Khanro village in Ward No. 1 of Memari Municipality under Memari Police Station.
Sir, I have been living in this steep village for the last 25 years. And my house had an electrical connection 20 years ago. In this regard, sir, I would like to inform you that my house is a one-storey house with two rooms and there are 4 bulbs and two fans with two rooms and a balcony. I have to pay arrears of Rs. 400 to Rs. 500 every three months for my quarterly electricity bill. Besides, it goes without saying that the extra electricity cost is not in my house. If required, additional electricity charges for two-to-one events at home are approved with additional charges from the local electricity office. So far, everything has been going well, but since the last lockdown in 2020, the electricity bill has risen abnormally.
Your Excellency, my humble request to you is that due to the Corona virus epidemic, the lockdown that we are carrying out according to the administrative rules, it is becoming difficult to run our daily household expenses. In such a situation, if we have to pay abnormal electricity bill again, then we will be relieved. That means it will be difficult to make a living. And it will be difficult for people like us to survive day by day. So, sir, if you take some steps in this regard to control this abnormal increase in electricity bills, this difficult situation will be somewhat resolved and many more middle class families like us will benefit.
