Subject: Bad effects of unhealthy food items sold in an around the school

Sir,

Your attention is drawn to the fact that a lot of unhealthy food items are sold in and around our school, which affects the health of the students.

According to a draft published by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (fssai), high fatty food, salt and sugar can't be offered to adolescents in school canteen, premises, kitchens used for cooking midday meal or inside 50 meters of the school grounds.

But even then the food served in our school canteen is not nutritious. The hygiene level in the canteen is also not right. Cockroaches and flies are seen everywhere and sometimes even utensils are not cleaned properly.

Food that is sold outside our school is also harmful. They mostly sell junk food, which we all know is not good for our health. Vendors don’t care about students ’health and hygiene. They sell less nutritious food and also keep food items uncovered. All of these children can have many diseases.

Therefore, my humble request to the concerned authorities is to look into the matter and take necessary steps to ensure that future generations are safe and healthy.

Regards!

Yours faithfully

Subject: Worst effects of unhealthy food sold around the School

Sir,

This is to draw your attention to the matter that a lot of unhealthy food items are sold in and around our school, affecting the health of the students.

As per a draft released by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (fssai), high fatty food, salt and sugar can't be offered to adolescents in school canteen, premises, kitchens used for cooking midday meal or inside 50 meters of the school grounds.

But still the food provided in our school canteen is not nutritious. The hygiene level at the canteen is not up to the mark either. Cockroaches and flies can be seen everywhere and sometimes even the utensils are not cleaned properly.

The foods which are sold outside our school are also harmful. They mostly sell junk food which, we all know, is not good for our health. The vendors do not care about the health and hygiene of the students. They sell food of less nutritional value and also keep the food items uncovered. All this could lead to a number of diseases in children.

So, it is my humble request to the concerned authority to look into the matter and take necessary steps so that the future generation stays safe and healthy.

Thank you!

Yours faithfully
