France, 25 Nov 2021: The biggest boat sinking in recent times has happened on the English Channel. Thirty-one migrants were reported killed in the sinking with 33 passengers on board. The French interior minister confirmed the crash on Wednesday.

The bodies of 31 people in the boat were found. Two have survived.

They have been rescued. The boat was off the coast of France and was bound for Britain.

According to the International Organization for Migration, there has never been such a big boat sink with immigrants on the English Channel since 2014. Among the dead were 5 women and a child. French police have arrested four traffickers following the sinking.

Shortly after the incident, French President Macron held an emergency meeting with EU ministers. Refugee issues were discussed at the meeting. At the meeting, Macron said he would not allow the English Channel to be a graveyard at all.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased. This incident also shows how dangerous it is to cross the English Channel in this way.

We need to be more careful about human traffickers and gangsters. Johnson vowed to work with France and other European countries on the issue. He said the traffickers were pushing the refugees to their deaths, but they were still getting through.

France & U.K, 25 Nov 2021: The boat sank Wednesday evening off the coast of Calais, France.

At least 26 migrants have died after a boat capsized on their way to Britain from France via the English Channel.

According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), this is the "deadliest" accident on the channel since 2014.

The boat sank Wednesday evening off the coast of Calais, France.

Authorities sounded the alarm on Wednesday night when a fishing boat spotted several bodies floating in the water.

It was reported that the boat was carrying at least 33 migrants from France to Britain. Of them two persons were rescued. It was confirmed by the French Home Minister, Gerald Dermanin. Among the dead persons, five women and two children were included.

Authorities in the United Kingdom and France are conducting deliverance operations by boat and aircraft in the English Channel.

It was said that more than 25,800 people have sailed dangerously from France to the UK this year alone.

Immigration hopefuls aboard the sunken boat were traveling from France to the UK illegally through human trafficking rings. Home Minister Mr. Darmanin said French police had arrested four suspected mortal merchandisers on the case of involvement in the incident.

After an emergency meeting with various parties after the accident, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson said that he was "shocked and horrified" by the news of the accident.
