What is Waqf Bill? Why was it needed?
👉 What is Waqf?
Waqf is the concept of an Islamic law, under which a Muslim donates his property (such as land, building, money etc.) in the name of Allah, so that it is used in social welfare, mosque, madrasa, cemetery, yatimkhana, hospital etc. in religious or social works. This property does not remain private again - its ownership goes to the Waqf Board or Trust, and cannot be sold or bought.
