Advice to visit the public library -Letter Writing

            Are you a member of your local public library? If not, please get memberships today and short visiting the library as frequently as possible. You can get a number of reference books there for you to study. Moreover, storybooks, periodicals and dailies of different types will broaden the horizon of your knowledge which will stand you in good stead.

I hope you and the family are well. How's your preparation going for the Board examination?

I would like to tell you about the Public Library. Have you been there at all? If you've got, when was last your last visit? For general reading also as for research on our course curriculum, you ought to go there often. I write this drawing on the great experience I even have had over the last six months. They have a good stock of books and keep adding at every opportunity. The present committee and also the librarian are very proactive and helpful. Why don't we meet one of these days and plan a joint visit? I assure you it'll be an eye-opener.

Dear Arnabi,

I hope this letter finds you in fine fettle. In your last letter you had asked me the way to build your writing, speaking, imaginative, creative, analytical skills, and reasoning skills. Well, dear friend the panacea to all or any skills development is READING.

Reading is an important basic skill building activity. One’s language fluency is determined by the quality of reading. Besides, vocabulary enrichment, ideas collection, familiarization with differing types of writing formats, speaking fluency, etc, all depend on reading.

I was so fortunate to have been introduced to reading by my dad! He actually did nothing; I just got interested in it through his own reading habit. Dear Sushma I am proud to say that is the best thing that has happened to me. Then I watched the famous movie ‘Matilda’, which further fascinated me to reading.

My advice to you is read as much as you can. There are many books available online which you'll access. However, if you don’t have flair for e-books, do attend public libraries in your city. They are the ideal places. You can have the books issued freed from cost otherwise you can read them within the reading rooms. That’s how I started. They are the most silent places.

I hope you'll influence my advice and enrich your personality with the magic of reading. Give warm regards to uncle and aunt.
