    1. According to the guidelines published by AIIMS, diabetic patients whose sugar levels are not under control are at increased risk of contracting black fungus. Patients with steroid diabetes or tossilizumab are also at increased risk of developing black fungus or mycobacterium tuberculosis.

    2. Cancer patients or those who have been suffering from various diseases for a long time are more likely to be infected by black fungus.

    3. Patients who take high doses of steroids for long periods are at increased risk for fungal infections.

    4. The physical condition of many is becoming extremely critical after being infected with corona. They must be provided oxygen anyhow. All of these patients are more likely to be infected by black fungus.

    In this case, the guideline published by AIIMS states that those who are at high risk of contracting black fungus should undergo regular physical examinations. Patients who are discharged from the hospital without coronation should also be monitored. AIIMS has advised the eye specialists to take special care in this matter.

    Take special care of newly coronated patients. Consult a doctor as soon as you see these symptoms.

    1. In this case, abnormal black fluid or blood may leak out of the nose. This is a sign to be infected with black fungus infection.

    2. Nasal congestion or difficulty breathing. Symptoms of black fungus include headaches or pain when opening and closing the eyes, redness of the eyes or loss of vision.

    4. If you feel trouble in opening your mouth or having difficulty chewing, then you should be careful. It is also a sign of black fungus infection.

Sometimes it has been noticed that unnatural swelling occurs inside the mouth, palms, and teeth or inside the nose. All these are the symptoms of being infected with black fungus.

    The guidelines published on behalf of AIIMS state,

    1. If any of the above symptoms appear, you should seek the advice of an ENT doctor, ophthalmologist or any other specialist.

    2. Whenever symptoms of black fungus would be appeared, the advice of the doctors should be followed. Try to keep blood sugar under control.

    3. Must take regular medication. The physical situation must be taken care of. It is also important to keep a notice on whether any other symptoms are occurring.

    4. Do not take steroids or antibiotics or antifungal drugs on your own without consulting a doctor.
