Subject: Increasing air and sound pollution
Sir,
May I request you kindly to allow me a little space in your esteemed daily to ventilate my grievances about the increasing air and sound pollution?
‘Pollution’- the term is now so much common that even the illiterate knows it. ‘Pollution’ literally means deterioration of a particular sphere of nature. By maintaining the universal law of changing, the human beings have undergone a great metamorphosis. Though in view of science and technology, the development is positive but for the nature, it is a negative development i.e. in simple language deterioration. It is said that power stands to corrupt. Really, increasing power has made the human beings so much corrupted that they are even trying to destroy their Mother Nature. And buy their well developed high speed vehicles, high- tech industries, they are doing this task. The smoke emitted from the cars, buses and industries are so much harmful that they not only cause death when inspired but also hampered photosynthesis – especially oxygen preparation when deposited on the leaves- the net effect is that oxygen becomes scarce. In short, they directly kill people.
The situation became more tragic when high pitched sound is added to our sufferings. Its cause is totally human foolishness. Not only horns of cars cause noise pollution but also the cheap film songs, when played, add to the sufferings of the people. Though unbelievable, this high pitched sound can even cause heart attack and death. And what is most amazing that though strict laws have been enacted against these pollutions, the law enforcers have even indulged in these two pollutions. It is tragic to note that still most of the people are remaining mute spectators in this jeopardy. Though long term endeavor can erase these two words from the dictionary, yet there is none to take the initiative. Human is said to be magnanimous in all aspect yet these two evidences show the opposite - human beings are responsible for pervasiveness. Even the government is taciturn in taking earnest venture. This perilous situation has forced me to write this letter with sheer disgust. I request you to publish this letter in your reputed and high profile daily so that authorities may wake up in this situation to take necessary action.
