👉 Dengue Prevention Awareness and Observance Measures

Malaria has been a major concern for mosquito-borne diseases for so long. In age of scientific development we have succeeded in many cases, the incidence has decreased a lot. Now there is another fear, which is called DENGUE. It is also a mosquito-borne disease.

    Dengue Prevention Awareness

We have been exposed to this disease since the early 2000's. We didn't worry about it until last year. For it shows the same symptoms as many other viral fevers. At present, India and the world are worried about the outbreak of this disease. Even the renowned Indian filmmaker Yosh Chopra died of the disease. Many attempts are being made to prevent this. But, it is not possible.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the number of people affected by the disease will reach 1.5 to 3.5 billion worldwide by 2080. This is because of the increase in temperature. Temperatures continue to rise around the world. Eighty percent of dengue cases occur in the tropics. Unfortunately, our country is also in it. The more drought, there is the greater the risk of dengue. This is because the Aedes mosquito is a carrier of dengue. The life cycle of this mosquito shows that the warmer the weather, the shorter the days of adulthood. As a result, it can spread the disease very quickly.

👉 What do we need to do to prevent dengue?

From individuals, families, society to government agencies, everyone has the opportunity to take responsibility for dengue prevention.

👉 Social responsibility in dengue prevention

When it rains, the mosquitoes spread easily if water accumulates somewhere. On the other hand, when it rains heavily, all the eggs are washed away. We have no control over nature, but we can try to make it normal by planting trees. As the temperature decreases, so does the probability of rain. Without looking to government assistance or contributions, we can make arrangements to keep our homes and areas where water is stagnant clean. We can increase the circulation of water in the waterways so that the eggs do not get full.

👉 Family responsibility for dengue prevention

All the work is interrupted if there is constant attention in trying to protect from mosquitoes. Normal life is disrupted. It is not possible to stay inside the mosquito net all the time. So the solution may be a little easier if you pay attention to the mosquitoes cannot move from the outside. Below 28 degrees Celsius, Aedes mosquitoes usually do not spread rapidly. So if you try to keep the room temperature like that, there is a possibility of getting good results. Trees can be planted on the verandah in an attempt to keep the weather in order, but care must be taken to ensure that water is not accumulated in it.

👉 Responsibility of government agencies for dengue prevention

Ensuring the security of a large number of people with insufficient manpower is really a difficult task. Therefore, it is more important to focus on raising public awareness. We should also make our own manpower efficient. In many cases, mosquito repellents are being sprayed into blocked sewers, and at the end of the day, chemicals are being consumed, but there are no good results. There may be relatives among the affected population, and working with this attitude may make the activities more successful. After cleaning the sewer, it is stored next to it, which goes to the sewer at the end of the day. So work coordination is needed.

👉 What are the symptoms of the disease?

The symptoms are similar to those of many other viral diseases — fever, headache, muscle aches, red eyes, fatigue, and weakness. Therefore, if these symptoms occur, at least MBBS should be shown to the doctor rather than buying medicine from the store. Don't forget to take painkillers without making sure.

👉 Awareness of dengue should be kept in mind

    1. Does the body feel more exhausted than before?

    2. Do you feel tired after standing for less time than before?

    3. Whether there is severe anorexia.

    4. Whether the urine is less than normal.

    5. Feeling sleepy all the time.

    6. Unexpected swelling of joints in our body

    7. Symptoms of watery stomach.

    8. Appearance of bleeding in the white part of the eye.

    9. Fainting, etc.

If these symptoms are seen, contact the nearest hospital without delay. Government hospitals should be the first choice in all cases. For, there are opportunities to get all the benefits.

👉 What to do to prevent dengue infection

    1. Reduce the habit of sleeping during the day.

    2. Keep an eye on young children, wear socks if possible.

    3. Everyone, big or small, drinks more water than usual.

    4. Practice sleeping with a mosquito net.

    5. Try to keep the indoor temperature within reach.

    6. Ensure conscious use of mosquito control drugs etc.

Mosquito-borne disease dengue has already started spreading in different parts of the country. We all have a role to play in preventing this disease.
