The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified the new COVID variant as a matter of concern. Research is now being conducted around the world to find this COVID variant. It is notable to remark that on the last 24 November 2021 (Wednesday) a new COVID variant was identified in South Africa.
The form of newly identified COVID-variant has been named "Omicron" on November 26, 2021 (Friday) by the World Health Organization's TAG-VE or Viral Evolution Technical Advisory Group. The newly form of COVID variant is named as SARS-COV-2 VARIANT: B.1.1.529

The most common symptoms of the new COVID variant "Omicron" are fever, cough, and fatigue, loss of taste or odour.
Less common symptoms of the new COVID variant "Omicron" are sore throat, headache, aches, pains, diarrhea, skin rash, discoloration of fingers or toes, and also red or itchy eyes.
Severe symptoms of the new COVID variant "Omicron" include difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, decreased ability to speak or move, or confusion or chest pain.

However, let's find out what measures should we take to keep ourselves safe.
1. Wash hands frequently
It is proven that by washing hands thoroughly with soap and water, the virus is eradicated from the hands. You can wash your hands repeatedly even if you do not see dirt or grime on your hands.
2. Stay away safe
Like all flu, the disease infects others through small cough drops or droplets. So it is better to stay away from the one who is coughing. Try to avoid the contact with people who are already infected. Stay away from sick animals.
3. No nose-mouth touch

Refrain from traveling abroad without urgent need and discourage travel from other countries to Bangladesh without need. Exercise caution when traveling.

9. Get help from a health worker
If you feel sick for any reason at this time, if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, seek the help of the nearest health worker immediately. He will be able to bring the matter to light and play a role in stopping the spread of the virus.
