    Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad

    Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad or Abdul Kalam Ghulam Muhiuddin (- February 22, 1958) was a famous Indian Muslim scholar. 

    He was a poet, writer, journalist and Indian freedom fighter. He was born on November 11, 1888. 

    He held an important political position after the independence of India. He supported the policy of Mahatma Gandhi. He worked for Hindu-Muslim unity, and was among the Muslim leaders who opposed the policy of a separate Muslim nation (Pakistan). 

    He played an important role in the caliphate movement. In 1933, he became the youngest President of the Indian National Congress. He was the President of the Congress from 1940 to 1944. After independence, he was elected Member of Parliament from Rampur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in 1952 and became the first Minister of Education in India.

    He was an important revolutionary of Dharsan Satyagraha. He was the President of the Indian National Congress from 1940-45, during which time the Quit India Movement took place. 

    Like many other top Congress leaders, he was sentenced to three years in prison. He became the first Education Minister of India after independence and the establishment of the University Grants Commission was one of his most memorable deeds. He breathed his last on February 22, 1958.

    Building Construction

    Every human needs a shelter to safeguard his life. Therefore, it becomes necessary to construct a building. 

    However, the process of building a house is a very complex and difficult task. First of all we must select a proper land to construct the building. After a piece of land is bought, it is cleared from all bushes and greeneries. 

    Then, the foundation is paved with the filling of the land with brick-chips and dry mud. Later, they are pressed to be made an even arrangement. After this action, pillars are constructed, through which the border-walls are also made. Then, the roof is constructed and dried through the support of bamboos. Finally, the masons do flooring. 

    Within all these activities, the constructed system is drenched in water and timely dried before the next step. Moreover, the same procedure is followed while construction of every floor of the building. But, the foundation is put only once, so it must be a strong base to lift the weight of an entire building.
